Accounting and bookkeeping, from first entry to audit.
Every UAE business must keep accounting records, VAT-registered or not, and stays responsible for them when the work is outsourced. ebs Chartered Accountants runs the whole cycle for each of your entities: transactions posted, supplier invoices matched and paid on time, every month closed on a reconciled trial balance, and year-end financial statements your auditor can test without asking for figures to be rebuilt.

Record
Who this is for
Several companies, each with its own books and its own way of closing the month.
Month-end close drifts into the third week of the following month, so management reads numbers that are already old.
Supplier invoices arrive through several inboxes, and the same person can set up a supplier, approve its invoice and release the payment.
Balances between group companies do not agree, and nobody owns the difference.
Last year's audit ran weeks over while the team assembled schedules and documents on request.
Free zone entities rely on the 0% rate, which requires audited financial statements whatever their size.
What we do
The work, end to end.
01
Transaction posting and intercompany
Sales invoices, purchase invoices, expenses, journals and month-end entries posted daily, weekly or monthly, at the frequency each entity's volume needs. Where you run several entities, the balances between them are agreed each month so both sides match.
02
Accounts payable and supplier controls
One intake point for supplier invoices and expense claims, three-way matching to the purchase order and delivery, approval workflows with separation of duties, payment runs for your authorisation and supplier statements reconciled to the ledger.
03
Supplier checks for input VAT
Supplier records kept with the verification evidence FTA Decision No. 13 of 2026 expects before you deduct input VAT: identity, real place of business and, above AED 375,000 of supplies in 12 months, the supplier's bank account.
04
Month-end close
Every bank and card account reconciled, accruals and prepayments posted, and each month closed on a trial balance with schedules supporting each line of the balance sheet, followed by the monthly reports.
05
Records to the FTA's standard
Each invoice and receipt kept with its transaction as a complete, legible copy, all pages in order, as FTA Decision No. 4 of 2026 requires. The records stay yours. If you leave, we hand everything over within 7 working days.
06
Year-end financial statements
Stock count recorded, fixed-asset register updated and a full set of financial statements prepared under IFRS, IFRS for SMEs or, where revenue allows, the cash basis.
07
Audit-ready file and audit support
Lead schedules, reconciliations and supporting documents for every balance, organised the way auditors work. We answer your independent auditor's queries, post the agreed adjustments and hand the final figures to the corporate tax return.

Know the law
The rules in brief
1
Anyone conducting business in the UAE, or with an obligation under a tax law, must keep accounting records and commercial books.
Federal Decree-Law No. 28 of 2022, Art. 4
2
Corporate tax records must be kept for 7 years after the end of the tax period they relate to.
Federal Decree-Law No. 47 of 2022, Art. 56
3
A business may have a third party, such as an outsourced bookkeeper, keep its records, but the business remains legally responsible for keeping them and keeping them safe.
FTA Decision No. 4 of 2026, Art. 4
4
From 1 October 2026, before deducting input VAT, a business must check each supplier on first dealing and at least every 12 months, check each supply, and keep a documented verification policy and the evidence.
FTA Decision No. 13 of 2026, Arts. 3 to 6
5
IFRS is the default accounting standard. IFRS for SMEs may be used where revenue does not exceed AED 50 million.

Yes. We keep a separate set of books for each legal entity and close them on the same monthly timetable. Balances between the entities are agreed each month, so intercompany differences are found while they are small. Each entity's reports and year-end statements come from its own reconciled ledger.
Daily, weekly or monthly, depending on transaction volumes and how current management needs the numbers to be. Whatever the frequency, every bank and card account is reconciled and each month closes on a trial balance and a set of monthly reports.
The whole payables cycle: invoice intake and coding, three-way matching against the purchase order and the delivery record, approval workflows, payment runs, supplier statement reconciliation and aged payables reporting. Payments are released only under the authorisation workflow you approve, and the person who approves an invoice is not the person who pays it.
Your business is. FTA Decision No. 4 of 2026 allows a business to have a third party keep its records, but the business remains legally responsible for keeping them and keeping them safe. That is why we keep complete records to the FTA's standards, and hand everything back within 7 working days if you leave.
Possibly, for two separate reasons. For corporate tax, tax periods starting on or after 1 January 2025 need audited financial statements if revenue exceeds AED 50 million, and for every Qualifying Free Zone Person and Tax Group. Separately, company law requires every LLC and joint stock company to have its accounts audited every year. Many free zones also set their own audit and filing requirements.
No. We keep and close the books and prepare the financial statements, and an independent auditor audits them, so the audit stays genuinely independent. We prepare the audit file, answer the auditor's queries and support you through the audit.
We work in Zoho Books, Xero, QuickBooks and Tally, and can keep the books in the system you already use. We are a Zoho Advanced Partner, and every package includes free setup: the chart of accounts, the software and Zoho Books training.
Accounting and bookkeeping are included in all four of our fixed monthly packages, which differ in the reporting, compliance and support they add. Payables management is part of the Enterprise package. You can compare what each package includes at /pricing/, and where none fits we scope a package around your entities.
Tell us how many entities you run, your year end, how the books are kept today and roughly how many transactions and supplier invoices each handles a month. We will recommend a package and set out what to fix first. The first consultation is free.
